ADCS Clinics Announces the Acquisition of Kalamazoo Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, the nation’s largest dermatology practice, acquires dermatology clinic in Michigan.
Maitland, FL – ADCS Clinics (“ADCS”) announced it has completed the acquisition of Kalamazoo Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center in Portage, Michigan; a dermatology practice owned by Gerald D. Karabin, M.D. PhD., a board certified dermatologist.

Dr. Gerald Karabin received his medical degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, and his internal medicine training from the University of Colorado. He completed his residency from the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and is Board Certified.

Dr. Karabin has authored several articles regarding molecular genetics, biochemistry, and various skin diseases including skin cancer, psoriasis, and lupus erythematosus. He received a Predoctoral NIH Research Training Grant, ARCS Research Award, and the Robert W. Goltz Award for Excellence in Dermatology.

He has been practicing as a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon at Kalamazoo Dermatology since 1991. He has staff appointments at both Bronson and Borgess Hospitals.
Dr. Karabin specializes in skin cancer treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery, and also performs general and cosmetic dermatology.
