Pathways Health and Community Support, LLC, a portfolio company of Atar Capital and one of the largest providers of behavioral and mental health services in the United States, announces it has acquired Human Resource Training, Inc. (HRT), an Arizona-based company that provides foster care services, social services and training to families and youth in the central and northern regions of Arizona. The acquisition extends Pathways’ current footprint in Arizona from eight to twelve counties and augments services in two of Arizona’s largest counties, Maricopa and Pima. This is Pathways’ second acquisition in 2021, advancing the organization’s goal to increase the availability of accessible behavioral and mental health services across the United States.
HRT provides a range of child and adult welfare services that complement Pathways’ full spectrum of social services and behavioral health programs. Additionally, HRT’s services include a Parenting Skills Program that supports Arizona F.I.R.S.T. (Families in Recovery Succeeding Together – AFF) legislation by providing services to families with children who reside with their biological parents, as well as families with children in out-of-home placements and child and adult developmental homes for the developmentally disabled population.
Jill Winters, Pathways’ CEO and former United Healthcare executive, said, “Acquiring HRT significantly expands our capacity to provide essential services for more clients in Arizona. This acquisition also supports Pathways’ strategic plan for continued growth and development of our programs which deliver critical behavioral and mental health services.”
Pathways’ outpatient services in 18 states and the District of Columbia include mental health services for children and adults, autism and IDD services, foster services, substance use education, and support services. Additionally, the organization offers employer-based programs through Pathways at Work, a series of customized workplace health and well-being seminars, webinars and other resources for employees.
