KABO specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of antifoam and defoaming agents to the food, fermentation, mining and wastewater industries. KABO is privately held with 33 employees. Annual revenues are approximately $14 million.
With the KABO acquisition, Lubrizol extends its coverage of the defoamer market to all of North America. KABO’s sales, manufacturing and distribution centers, located west of the Mississippi, complement Lubrizol’s existing defoamer operations based in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. In addition, KABO’s product lines expand the defoamer offering and capabilities of Lubrizol’s Fluid Technologies for Industry business.
